Greetings to all, I hope this message finds you well! It's a new year and I've just completed a new mix! Volume 19 to be exact! Listen People is a collection of songs that have captivated my mind over the past few years, which for me has been a time of great reflection. With all the things going on in the world, good and bad, it's always nice to come back to music, something that can be healing and bring us all together. At least that's my hope. This mix is somewhat of a continuation of my 2021 mix "I don't want any flowers" which was a dreamy introspective psych folk mix. Listen People continues down the road a little further but perhaps leans into positivity a bit more than the former. Songs about passing time, life, love, family, gratitude. travel, change, etc... I thought a lot about my childhood and my parents generation while making this one, taking comfort in old memories of simpler times when people enjoyed each others' company and lent a helping hand in times of need. The hippies that grew up and had kids I guess. Anyhow, I don't need to rattle on any longer. Here's a collection of some great folk, rock and pop songs from the late 60s and early 70s that'll hopefully resonate with you. The title of the mix is taken from the French psych band Triangle's song "Listen People" which happens to be featured on the mix.
